"Whoever battles monsters should take care not to become a monster too, for if you stare long enough into the Abyss, the Abyss stares also into you."

Watchers

There are watchers all around us. Sometimes we are aware of them, if we are on television or sending a message to someone, anyone, everyone. Some watchers live next door. Some lie in wait for us in the dark of night. Some watchers are benevolent; some are predators. Occasionally a watcher can even be a ghost in a circuit or an alien. But you are being watched. And so are the characters in these stories. Go ahead; watch. See what they do when they don't know you're looking.
