Lament For Titan

It is evening
And you and I
Lie on a hillside
Watching a storm roll in
Unfolding toward us slowly
And majestically from far in the west through a reddening sky
Which is supposed to mean good weather -
And you and I laugh
As we lie together on a blanket on a hillside
Conjuring rain

Robin Mayhall is a public relations professional who writes speculative fiction and poetry in her "spare time." She lives in Louisiana with four cats, who indulge her hobby with only occasional attempts to sit on the keyboard. Her poems were nominated for the Rhysling Award in 2005 and 2007.

Wasn't this a lovely poem?
